Each sealed box contained 36 packs with one of the 2 designs shown below and contained 6 cards each. All boxes were numbered with a total of 350,000 boxes produced.
Marvel reprinted the artwork in comic book size as a 3 issue "mini-series" called "Marvel Masterpieces 2" between July 1994 and September 1994.
Cards 2, 9 and 15 form a tryptich featuring the pre 1963 Marvel Heroes.
There were a number of misprints with these card sets including missing foil-etching, mis-titled or missing the 1993 Marvel Masterpieces emblem.
There are 5 known promo cards: She-Hulk (marked as prototype); Daredevil (was distributed with Hero Magazine); Hulk 2099 & 2 different versions of Venom featuring red foil.
