The Green Knight represents the natural spirit of the world, and in times of need will empower champions with the Spirit of the Pendragon to fight on behalf of the world and against the forces of the Blight. Many Knights of the Round Table served as Pendragons in times past. The Pendragon spirits are reused over generations, and so modern Pendragons often draw strength from the same spirit as previous champions, such as Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot, Gawain, Galahad, etc.
Other members unrelated to the X-Men include Union Jack, Albion, Iron Man, Breeze, Grace, Adam Crown, Kate McClellan, Ben Gallagher, and many others across space and time.
