Excelsior / Loners

Universe/Timeline:
Marvel Universe

The Excelsior meetings were communal assistance groups similar to Alcoholics Anonymous for former teenage super-heroes. First assembled in Los Angeles by Mickey Musashi and Phil Urich, they were designed to help teen heroes transition out of juvenile careers of fighting crime and into adult lifestyles free from the super-hero game.

Legal disputes with Stan Lee himself over use of the word "Excelsior!" led Marvel to cease referring to the group by that name. Although they appeared in a limited series titled Loners, they were never referred to by that title in fiction.

Other members unrelated to the X-Men include Green Goblin IV, Spider-Woman IV, and Namie the Red Ronin. Geoffrey Wilder briefly worked with the group as well, posing as "Chamber".
