The Assassins Guild of New Orleans are a familial group of paid killers tied to the Benefactress, Candra. While Candra gave immortality to her Thieves Guild through the Elixir of Life, she gave power to the Assassins Guild, unlocking hidden superhuman abilities within the Assassins.
A Unified Guild was created in Gambit (3rd series), but the truce / alliance apparently fell through, as the Assassins Guild has reappeared as a separate entity since then. They have also expanded their ranks to include assassins not born of New Orleans or the Pact.
