ALTERNATE VERSIONS
In the House of M, Madison and Lionel Jeffries were survivors of the Weapon X Program during the Human / Mutant War. They were forced to work against their own kind, and the trauma left them considerably unhinged. Magneto put them in charge of the small Latin nation of Santo Rico after the rise to power, where they could maintain order however they wished. The Hood and his gang of super-criminals chose to liberate Santo Rico as a hideaway for their own crimes against the House of M. Hood gambled successfully on his demon-inhabited flesh resisting Lionel's powers and tore him apart from within. When Lionel offered to fix the face of the Hood's partner Madame Masque in exchange for leniency, the two gunned him down instead.
In Age of X, Lionel and Madison were responsible for combining their powers into a tech-virus turned against Iron Man. Now nicknamed "Steel Corpse", Tony Stark's own armor was slowly digesting him from the inside, leaving a mass of rotting flesh inside a state-of-the-art armor. Lionel's fate is unknown but lately fatal, for only Madison was seen at Fortress X.
